I ordered my chicken casserole and tea and was checking I had the correct card when the waitress moved the card reader so it was used. I told her I had not intended to pay with that card but as it was not a major issue I told her it was ok. She told me it was good as she did not know how to sort it out so it was a good job it was not my business card. When I sat down the table was covered in crumbs, obviously not cleaned recently. I brushed the crumbs off, I had eaten there before and the food had been good, so I thought I would proceed. I had only just poured out my tea when my food arrived, I am not sure how they did it but the cheese coated crust and dish were hot as usual but biting into a piece of chicken I found it cold. They said they would sort it out but I did not feel like eating it any more and asked for a refund which was given in cash and did not include the tea which was untouched. Overall a bad experience and I would give zero stars if possible.
If I could rate this at 0 stars I would. WORST customer service I have ever seen in my life, and I have been in the industry 10+ years. First time I had ever been in, and I saw as two women, sat at a table asked the waiter if their food would ever arrive as they had been waiting a while, he replied by rolling his eyes and said 'For God's sake, Yes, in a minute.' When he caught me staring at his behavior he rolled his eyes again and turned away. This Cafe needs to seriously learn about how to treat customers, it doesn't matter how stressful or busy the day- customers are NOT treated in this way. Disgusting, and I will never visit again, and I will ensure to tell everyone I meet, never to enter this cafe.
At 3.90 for a ham and cheese toasty I expected a bit more than two slices of cheap white sliced bread, a bit of cheese and two slices of ham so thin I think they'd been cut with a laser. All in all it was 5.20 for that and a green tea. The standard didn't match the price. 3.00 would have been acceptable for what I got, but would prefer to pay what I paid for something much better. Something along the lines of multi seed crusty bread, better cut ham and a side salad with some crisps is more like it. The tea was nice.
I highly recommend this place! :) The coffee is aromatic and the breakfasts are delicious - wonderfully served! The place itself is very cozy, and I do not want to leave. Especially when it's so cold outside. The toilet is clean and smells nice. The service is friendly. I am imprisoning scrambled eggs! Best under the sun! I will come more often with my family! :D
I try to come in with my girlfriend on every Sunday to have some nice coffee and maybe breakfast or some cake. The staff here is always smiling and very friendly. The coffee tastes great and I can honestly say I'm almost addicted to their cheescake!Nice oldie music, quiet enough to enjoy a nice conversation over a hot cup of coffee.
