Went to Hertiz in Ashford to pick up a car everything went ok until I noticed some scratches on the left hand front wheel and small on the rear. The old boy didn't that any pictures of the scratch. When returning the car back I been caused of the scratch plus scratch on the left hand of the body what had been noticed already.
Great staff, good car. Pain to get to.
My uncle used to rent off Europcar when he would visit us in the U.K. but they are now closed Permanently. So the thought lets try hertz ...... mistake !!! Hertz has a very Rude manager believe Jo was her name ! We felt like she didnt care about us as customers and didnt want to really give us anytime of her day !!My family member and I ended up going to Avis (10 steps away ) Greeted by a smile from the Avis manager called Paul. Paul and Robert looked after us at the start and Richard Checked us in... hertz = poor customer service Avis = great customer service !
Today was a complete nightmare for two lovely visitors from the USA who stayed with us totally due to Hertz Ashford. The phone number on the web page does not ring out.Same number on mr and Mrs motleys booking form. I emailed yesterday with a question no reply. We tried to retun the car this morning only to find the road blocked no info from the Hetz office to redirect. Mr Motley had to pay a taxi driver to drive in front of him to show him the way which is miles from the normal entrance. They were en route to Newcastle and needed to be in time to catch a train from London. This whole no sense took 1.5 hrs! I only hope they do t get to Newcastle and find Hert there closed! I was embarrassed to be British.
