Wanted some car fuses. My daughter had written down exactly which ones I needed. First of all the woman insisted one of them didn't exist . She then sold me a fuse that didn't fit my car ( I had shown her my daughter's note ) .I even went back in and checked with the man on the parts desk and he confirmed they were correct !!!When I sent a photo of the pack my daughter confirmed they were not the right ones!!!. Incidently the lady did not give me a receipt and it would probably cost more in petrol to take them back . But over 6 I can't afford . My daughter has now ordered the correct ones online from another firm. Not happy.
Halfords have a ready made sales opportunity to stock Xmas presents and gadgets for Xmas. The store looks no different, boring and un inspiring. What a shame their purchasers and management do not realise it is xmas
Mixed experience. If you know what you want it's a pretty helpful shop. If you use the car repair centre you may receive a raw deal, as the mechanics work on commission, they'll sell it to you even if you don't want or need it.
Quick visit on a Saturday aftenoon to have a couple of wiper blades changed. Rachael on the till was exceptionally friendly and helpful, sorting out the parts and finding someone to fit them straight away. Ayron did the job efficiently in just a few minutes. I'll definitely be going back next time I need help with the car.
Went in to buy a car seat for our son. Ended up waiting for a good 20 minutes for a staff member even after 10 minutes of browsing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They showed us how to fit the car seat. Downsides were several car seats weren't in stock and we ended up being in store for an hour and a half - a long time just to buy a car seat.
