The worst surgery I have ever tried to get an appointment at...So hears the deal...you ring up to try and get an appointment, you won't ever get one...you'll get the receptionist telling you that a doctor will call you back...when he/She calls you back they will go over your symptoms (incredibly fast) and come up with a cure without actually seeing you, if you ask to go in and see a doctor it won't happen, they fob you off and tell you that you don't need to...my partner has tried this morning to make an appointment as we're off work. They said they are fully booked up this week but they have appointment next week...So she asked if she can book one...they told her no, she would have to ring up on the day... utterly ridiculous...we're now whole heartedly considering changing doctors, somewhere with a bit more compassion...Update.Due to my fiancees line of work with children, she picks up a lot of coughs and colds...she come down with a sore throat one morning that progressively got worse during the day. The next day she felt terrible so rang the doctor who once again refused to give her an appointment. They spoke to her over the phone and the doctor diagnosed her with minor laryngitis...how the hell he can diagnose it over the phone is anyone's guess...he told her to stay hydrated and it would pass...that evening she can home from work and could barely breath where her throat had swollen, she was in major pain in her throat and had flu like symptoms...I called 111 for some actual decent advice, they advised me that they wanted to see her at the put of hours doctor at the hospital, we went along and he diagnosed it as a severe case of tonsilitis and prescribed a strong course of antibiotics...thankfully she is now fighting fit thanks to the help of the doctor at the hospital and the staff at 111. I really have no idea how anyone can guess (let's be honest that's all he done) a diagnosis without seeing someone. If that's the case I'll buy a crystal ball and have a go my self! Terrible surgery. Before people ask us why we haven't changed doctors yet it's due to time, we both work full time and haven't had the oppotunity to do so yet! As soon as we do we shall be thankfully moving!
I was a patient for many years and bought a house in bridgefield (3 minute walk from parkfarm). I was informed by a receptionist who was very nice about the situation that I no longer fall in the practices jurisdiction. After being a patient for many years with a degenerative illness which now prevents me from driving and walking far I thought I would write a grounds of appeal. The surgerys business official responded in such a robotic way, diminishing all the hardworking and customer service of the surgery over the years- explaining my circumstances were considered but they cant let me stay. I called up local doctors surgery and I was expect to join the surgery in willesborough, two bus journeys away. Its so sad that their customer service should be left this way always recommended them before. Now I will not be recommending them and actually just left disheartened by the lack of care of their patients
I feel very privileged to be a patient at Kingsnorth Medical Practice. I have always been treated with dignity, understanding and respect, and given undivided attention during any appointments. Like all services within the NHS, the staff are under tremendous pressure, but I have always found the staff at the Practice to be welcoming, polite and supportive. I have great respect for each and every one of the Doctors, Nursing Staff, those within managerial positions and the many staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes providing us with such an outstanding Practice. Thank you all.
I feel very lucky to be a patient at this practice. Everyone there from the Doctors, Nurses & Admin staff are very professional, thoughtful and kind. I have had occasion to use the triage system and it works really well and I know that I am going to get a phone back from a Doctor within a few hours and if I need to be seen it will be the same day. In my previous practice I could wait for up to three weeks for an appointment. I would be happy to be treated by any one of the excellent doctors at this surgery and appreciate all their hard work and service they provide for their patients in what is difficult times for the NHS.
this is the best surgery in Ashford, yes the Triage system is a bit of a pain, but surely getting the people in that actually need to see the doctor is the right way to go? I normally see Dr Raj, but on occasion i have seen various others and i can't fault any of them, the nurses are brilliant also. The receptionists have always been polite but on occasion i've stood and waited for a few minutes whilst they finish their own conversation.
