I recently moved to this surgery, my old surgery I'd been registered all my life and are absolutely brilliant, I was terrified after reading the reviews. However, ive nothing but good things to say, people moan about the telephone triage but the first time I used it there was a really long queue so I was able to opt for a call back, the call back was a few hours later buy I didn't mind ad I hadn't had to wait on the phone. I spoke to a receptionist and asked for an appointment the following day and she told me I had to call on the day for an appointment, which I think is pretty much standard practice everywhere now. The next day I phoned a bang on 8am and so only waited a few minutes to speak to the receptionist, I had a call back from the doctor half an hour later, she was very friendly on the phone, we both knew what I needed and I was happy that I didn't need to waste an appointment, she told me she would leave a prescription at reception for me. I've had to ring several times as I've lost my repeat prescriptions, they've always been friendly and sorted it out for me. When I've needed a physical appointment I've always been given one on the day.
Good doctors and staff only issue I have had is a item missed of my perscprescribut it was sorted straight away.
Not sure how it could possibly be any worse at this point. Absolutely no follow-up, always chasing them to do anything. Four weeks I've been waiting for physio on my thumb, god forbid anything serious be entrusted to this surgery
By far the WORST GP practice in Ashford. Dr Thomas was shocking but whatever is going on now is not for the best. My mum is terminally ill and needs the health service she has paid into all her life MORE THAN EVER. They cannot even return calls? Unless of course the Receptionists are now self qualified Advance Nurse Practioners?? One only wonders.... I'll be following this up tomorrow coupled with a letter to the Secretary of State for Health. Mr Hunt. ...
